Description

Natural colour, 1st grade premium skirting leather – Can be used for saddles, stirrup leathers or anywhere you desire a heavier skirting leather.
Hermann Oak® saddle skirting leathers are the most popular choice for custom saddle makers. The leather carves superbly and stamps to an incredible depth. The firm leather easily moulds and forms to the seat when wet. The clean flesh accepts oil evenly to the desired degree.

Please advise if you require a rough-out or smooth-out finish so we may select the best hides for your needs.

Note: This leather is supplied by the side. The size of each side can vary, so to give you the best value for money it is priced per square metre. The final piece size and value of your leather order can be confirmed when the leather has been selected. This leather is rolled and packed into bags for delivery. Due to the size, delivery must be made via courier (it cannot be sent via post). Hermann Oak® Leather is renowned for its quality. Tanned in the USA since 1881, this leather is vegetable tanned in a traditional pit-tanning system and used world-wide to craft quality saddles and tack.
