Bridle Leather

Bridle leather looks good and ages well so while it is made for bridles, it can also be used in the production of quality saddles, leather strapping, bags and more.

The leather in bridles sits with the flesh side next to the horse’s skin, so it needs to be comfortable and smooth. It is also essential that bridles do not break unexpectedly so strength is just as important. Different tanneries will use different processes to achieve this however it usually involves stuffing or finishing the leather with oils and waxes.
